Adult Medical Day Care

An adult medical day care program is a community-based program of care that meets both the medical and social needs of people with medical needs including individuals with disabilities. Adult medical day care provides their consumers with medical care, social support, nutritious meals and recreational activities to keep them active and alert. These programs allow many people who might otherwise require nursing home or other more structured care to remain in their family home.

Eligibility: Must have at least one medical condition that would deteriorate without monitoring, may have two or more deficits in daily living skills, and be approved for participation by a physician.

Fee: The cost of the Program is paid by Medicaid, other governmental programs, the consumer directly or by private insurance policies.
